The klongs
In most of the cities which are provided with them, the Klongs are used as means of transportation, bathrooms, swimming pools and trading places. Moreover, in Bangkok they are used as sewers - quite disgusting indeed!.

Here along the Bangkok klongs, wealthy buildings stand side by side near shanty districts. Take the boat-bus on the Klongs (which I talk about in the chapter "transportation") in order to see these spots which travel guides will never let you see. |
