The people

normal animated

As I travelled, I met plenty of people. I have kept such good memories of them that as I am writing this report I still feel the happiness they gave me. One day, I left for Koh Samet island. A friend of mine had already stayed there and had asked me to greet Pong Peera, the manager of the coco nuts hotel. So, one evening I walked to that place and asked for the socalled Pong Peera. Being introduced to him I told the reason of my visit. He watched at me and just answered incredulously: " JJ ? JJ from France?". What a hearty welcome then! He offered me a coke and we walked to the beach. Then he asked me: "where have you found accomodation?". I explained to him where my bungalow was. He replied: "No, JJ's friends are invited to stay in my hotel" and he offered me free lodging in his resort. As a proof of gratefulness, I decided to take my meals and purchases in his establishment. I a short time I made friends with his staff. Actually I had spent part of the afternoon explaining to them the working of a four-time explosion. And instead of having my meals alone, I was invited as a host at their table. They couldn't speak english and at that time I didn't know a single word of Thaï language, yet, we were laughing so much together… I met so many friendly people that are not mentioned here. I apologize to them but that would be such a long list!

Very easy approaching steps. This non faked was made in 30 seconds...
If you don't know to do as a job, try to be a cook... seems to be funny!! Now a rather drunk but nevertheless funny hair-dresser. as it was my first contact with this young lady. (No, it's not a prostitute as some trash tv programmes would have you bet). The reason for my success is printed on my tee-shirt in Thaï language: "sam son" (the on who makes love with everybody).. Just undeserved success! As I wanted to take a snapshot of the green van, this man couldn't help playing some piece of music for me and that meant a 30 minutes enjoyable pause. So many different ways Thaï people have to express their friendly and easygoing nature...
And they offered me a drink. Just walking through this little market near Mukdahan and having a chat with the seller. She offered me various kinds of fruit to test as I left.. I walked leisurely in Lumpini park and came accross a group of young people. As we were talking together two of them undertook to massage me - not for the money, just for fun. See how easy-going the Thaï people are...

This guy here (me), doesn't he look lovely too?

Somewhere between Yasothon and Zangkai: a night market between 2 busses and smiling faces...

Bangkok by night and what it might also look like: a restaurant on the Chao Praya river, a friend....

And what to say about these 5 lovely girls around my son. Looks like an affair of "french touch"? Aren't these Frenchies so appealing ?...
